NORTHSIDE KIDS SHOPPING EVENT RECEIVES RAVE REVIEW

On Dec. 3, we brought our grandchildren, Harry and Nora, to the Holy Family Parish kids shopping event in Sydney Mines and to say it was well organized would be an understatement. It was run with the precision of a catering service in downtown Manhattan.

The ‘Northside Gals’, along with so many other volunteers, made each child (and adult) feel very welcome and special. It filled my heart with what Christmas used to feel like when we were kids.

Our two little ones were thrilled with their “purchases” and each one was lovingly wrapped by one of the “elves.” They, along with the many other children were beaming on their way home – full of pizza, every kind of treat you can imagine, and special gifts for their parents.

For a small town, we witnessed such unity, love and pride. Congratulations and thank you for making such a memorable, positive experience.
