It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Jane Dalrymple, age 92, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Melville Gardens in Halifax. Emily was born in White Plains, NY, on August 13, 1931. She was a daughter of the late Rose Mary Metzler and Edward Percy Metzler. She grew up in Fall River, and lived there most of her life. She worked at Bob Mcdonald Chev Olds earlier in her career and Dalrymple Insurance until she retired. Emily had many passions and volunteering in the community was one of them. Emily was proud that the Metzler Family donated the land and helped build the LWF Community Hall. Emily could be seen walking around the village and enjoyed socializing with her neighbours. She enjoyed doing many crafts and decorating her home for the holidays. Emily will be sadly missed by her family and friends - past and present, including her furry friends, Boston and Archie. She is survived by husband, Harold “Hallie”; sons, Barry (Margo), Ross, Paul; sisters, Rosemarie and Dianne; grandchildren, Garry, Scott, Amanda, Samantha, Danny; and many nieces and nephews.
