CONNOLLY, G. Blaine

1961 - 2023. With great sadness, we announce the passing of G. Blaine Connolly, 62, of Kitchener, ON on May 26, 2023, in St. Marys Hospital. Blaine was born in Halifax, to Dennis and Mary (Gallant) Connolly on May 19, 1961. He went to high school at St. Jerome’s and graduated in 1979. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Political Science in 1982. Blaine spent 40 years working, teaching, and leading in Real Estate. Blaine was also involved in many different organizations including the KW Business Club, not-for-profit community housing, and he was heavily involved in the PC Provincial Elections. Blaine married the love of his life in 1989 and welcomed his two girls, Natasha in 1995 and Kaitlyn in 2003. For many years he spent weekends and holidays in his favourite place, the family cottage by Lake of Bays in Muskoka, ON. Blaine loved his family and was proud of his Maritime heritage. Blaine is survived by his wife, Patricia Connolly (Lamers); his daughters, Natasha Presley (Ryan) and Kaitlyn Connolly; siblings, Jim Connolly (Esther Enns), Denise Woynillowicz (Joe) and Deb Connolly. Proud grandfather of William and Rose Presley; and uncle to many, many nieces and nephews. Blaine is preceded in death by his parents Dennis (2010) and Mary Connolly (2014); and his brother, Michael Connolly (2022). Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., on Thursday, June 1st, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s RC Church, 148 Madison Ave. S., Kitchener on Friday, June 2nd, at 10 a.m., with Father Brian Quigley officiating.
