Warrant being held for accused

SYDNEY — An arrest warrant is being held for a Sydney man charged with multiple child pornography offences.

Andrew Alfred Giasson, 32, of Howie Centre, is charged with six counts relating to child luring, four counts of making child pornography available, two counts of possession of child porn, two counts of accessing child porn and a single count of breaching a court order.

The offences are alleged to have occurred in Sydney between February and June 2020.

Giasson was previously the subject of warrants in failing to attend his scheduled court hearings. He was previously released on conditions that included attending court when directed.

Giasson is now scheduled to appear in provincial court June 2 to enter pleas.

Should he fail to attend, the warrant will be released as unendorsed meaning he can only be released by a judge.
