Berwick man dies in single-vehicle crash

A 72-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Margaretsville on Nov. 19.

Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle collision on a trail off Bishop Mountain Road around 7 p.m., RCMP said in a news release.

On arrival, officers learned that a group had been off-roading when one of the off-highway vehicles overturned near an embankment, ejecting the driver.

RCMP said EHS provided life-saving measures, but the Berwick man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sole passenger of the vehicle sustained non life-threatening injuries.
