In Chester Art Centre announces program

The Chester Art Centre is inviting applications for its 2022 artist in residence program.

All mediums and styles, as well as both emerging and established professionals, are welcome to apply. The goal of the residency is to provide individuals with the resources needed to grow and stretch as an artist.

Proposals must highlight how applicants plan to engage the community and how the support will propel them in new artistic directions. The Chester Art Centre plans to accept two residents into the program, however, the Centre

reserves the right to award two, one or no residencies this year. A stipend of $1,000 per month will be paid. Funds will be advanced to cover both accommodation and studio space which have been identified.

The successful applicant(s) will be expected to devote their full time to the residency, creating their own works, engaging in community outreach and participating in a final exhibition of their works. Visit www.chesterartcentre.ca for more information.
