Windsor teams on the hunt for regional title

The best high school rugby players in western Nova Scotia were set to battle it out in Windsor to see which teams advance to provincials.

In semifinal action on May 23, Avon View blanked Horton 29-0 to advance to the girls' final while Park View forfeited its game against the King's-Edgehill School (KES) Highlanders.

On the boys' side, another all-Windsor Western Region championship final was set, with KES besting Horton 65-12 on May 23 and Avon View defeating Park View 24-17.

The final games were scheduled for May 25, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Results were not known as of press time.

Provincials will be held in June.
