Man charged after weapons seized from home
A Chipman Brook man is facing several charges after police found and seized several weapons while searching a home in the community in October.
officers Kings District RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Rawding Road on Oct. 14.
During the search, officers seized rifles, shotguns, replica firearms, knives, throwing stars and ammunition. Police said no one was home at the time.
On Oct. 17, Benjamin MacAskill turned himself in at the New Minas police station.
MacAskill was later released on conditions and charged with careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.
He is scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court on Jan. 17.
