Horton High School's Class of 2022 was celebrated in style in downtown Wolfville.

Prior to the prom, which was held at the Wolfville Farmers' Market on June 23, a parade for graduates was held on Main Street.

The parade kicked off with a proclamation from town crier Lloyd Smith and greetings from Wolfville Mayor Wendy Donovan.

On behalf of town council, Donovan expressed how proud they are of what the graduates have accomplished this year. She wished them all the best in the fut

ure and pointed out that their recent experiences can be used to change the world.

“You have all experienced a life changing two years. It may not seem so now, but these experiences have helped you develop resilience, patience, and perspective,” Donovan said.

The event was designed to bring the community together to celebrate in an inclusive, welcoming, safe, and memorable manner.

Main Street was closed between Elm Avenue and Harbourside Drive for the event. Hundreds of family members, friends, and other wellwishers

creating lined the parade route, a festive atmosphere.

Graduates lined up down Elm Avenue, awaiting their introduction before marching under a decorative arch, past bubble machines and down the red carpet.
