Brief IN Fined for impaired driving

Dustin William Walker, 32, of Upper Granville, has been fined for

having a blood alcohol concentration that was equal to or exceeded the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Walker changed his plea to guilty on June 29.

Judge Christopher Manning fined

Walker $1,500 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Walker committed the offence in New Minas on Oct. 23, 2021.

The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

Walker gave breathalyser readings of 160 and 150.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol was dismissed on June 29.
