Finalists named for food waste solutions contest

Officials recently announced the 12 finalists of the Business Models Streams for the Food

Challenge. Waste Reduction

The challenge was launched in November 2020 and looks to find high-impact solutions to food waste in Canada.

The 12 finalists are: Abokichi, Blanc de Gris, Circular Innovation Council, Food Cycle Science Corporation, LOOP Mission, Outcast Foods, Savormetrics, Still Good, The Station Food Company (based in West Hants), Top Grade Ag, TriCycle and Vivid Machines Inc.

Each finalist will receive $400,000. Finalists are competing to win one of two grand prizes of up to $1.5 million.
