Batherson, Graves named to Team Canada
Nova Scotia's Drake Batherson and Ryan Graves are playing for Canada at this year's world hockey championship.
Batherson, a New Minas native, and Graves, of Yarmouth,
were named May 9 to the Canadian team.
They travelled to Finland for the May 13-29 tournament.
Batherson is a 24-year-old winger for the Ottawa Senators.
He set a new career high this season with 44 points in 46 games despite missing extensive time with a high ankle sprain.
Graves, 26, just completed his first season on the New
Jersey Devils' blue line. He had 28 points in 75 games, which was also a career best for him. Graves spent his first three NHL seasons with the Colorado Avalanche but was traded to the Devils in the off-season.
Former Cape Breton Screaming Eagles captain Pierre-Luc Dubois, who now plays for the Winnipeg Jets, will also play for Team Canada.
