A pothole apparently led to an incident involving a school bus going off the road in Brooklyn Corner during the afternoon on May 9. Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE) communications and FOIPOP officer Kristen Loyst said the AVRCE’s contracted transportation provider notified them that a bus travelling on North Bishop Road had three wheels off the road after swerving to avoid a pothole. Three students were on board the bus at the time. As a precautionary measure, emergency services including EHS paramedics and the Kentville Fire Department were called to the scene, but everyone was cleared, and no injuries were reported. Another bus was dispatched to pick up the students and take them home.
