Suspended sentence for threat, mischief

Anthony Ronais Bruneau Desjardins, 20, of Grafton, has been handed a suspended sentence with probation for knowingly conveying a threat to two individuals to burn Grafton House, a group home; and committing mischief by interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment and operation of property, to wit, Grafton House.

Desjardins pleaded guilty to the charges on May 10. Judge Paul Scovil handed Desjardins a suspended sentence with 12 months of probation on the two charges.

Desjardins has also been ordered to complete 10 hours of community service work as part of his probation in relation to the mischief charge.

Desjardins committed the offences in Grafton on Jan. 23. A charge of knowingly conveying a threat to two individuals to cause bodily harm to group home staff was withdrawn on May 10.
