A McKay Section woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after police say she was struck by a car in a Mount Uniacke parking lot on May 7.
In a May 9 press release, East Hants District RCMP said officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian on Highway 1 around 3:45 p.m. on May 7.
Police said a driver in a red Honda Civic had been travelling east on the highway when the driver of a blue vehicle heading west turned left in front of the Civic.
In an attempt to avoid the other vehicle, the Civic's driver entered a parking lot where the car struck a pedestrian and a forklift.
The pedestrian, a 60-yearold McKay Section woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by LifeFlight.
The driver and sole occupant of the Honda Civic, a 57-yearold Upper Sackville man, was uninjured.
The forklift operator, a 26-year-old Centre Rawdon woman, suffered minor injuries and went to a local hospital.
