A Lower Sackville man found playing a guitar in a New Minas parking lot is facing stolen property charges.
In a July 14 release, Kings District RCMP said a complaint of a man playing a guitar outside a vehicle brought police members to the parking lot of a New Minas restaurant before midnight on
July 11.
Police said they found the suspect in the parking lot. After investigating, police found out the guitar player allegedly possessed a stolen vehicle and property — and had outstanding warrants from Halifax.
Cpl. Chris Marshall, an RCMP public information officer, said the 48-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property over $5,000 and under $5,000 and breach of a release order.
The suspect was transferred into the custody of the Halifax Regional Police to deal with his outstanding warrants.
The suspect will appear in Kentville provincial court at a later date.
