DID YOU KNOW?
Kings Meadow Residence, opened in 1969, was the first community-based group home in Nova Scotia.
The building, once the estate of the late Dr. H.W Kendall, a former lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia, is home to nine adults with intellectual disabilities. The adults are supported by a professional team of residential community living facilitators.
The Kings Meadow Guild features the artwork of the adults living at the home.
