The last Bearcat-of-the-week honours went to goalie Mavrick Goyer. He played all 17 Bearcat playoff games, posting a nine-win, eight-loss record, and compiling a 2.66 GAA with an impressive 0.923 save percentage. No player was more valuable to his team than Goyer. Goaltending has always been a Bearcat strength. Goyer was named MHL Goaltender of the Year, making him the seventh Bearcat to receive that award. Other winners: Matt Climie (0304), Darcy Stewart (06-07), Pierre Alexandre Marion (07-08), Kirk Rafuse (09-10), Shayne Campbell (12-13), and Jacob Fancy (15-16). In Truro’s inaugural season reentering the junior ranks, Chris Wilcox was named league MVP. Matt Iorianni received that award in 2004-05.
