TRURO - Police were investigating a suspicious death after an unresponsive male was found in an apartment on Arthur Street earlier this week. In response to reporter questions, Truro Police Chief Dave Macneil said a call to police was received around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21. The male was in an upper floor apartment at 125 Arthur St. “We are early into the investigation and can’t release much information, but at this point we don’t believe there is any ongoing risk to the general public,” wrote Macneil in an email at the time, adding updates would be made as information became available. Police cars and a forensics vehicle from the criminal investigation division were spotted onsite during the morning of Nov. 22. Truro News spoke with neighbours who said they did not notice anything unusual overnight. The identity was not released at the time, pending notification of next of kin.
