Apex golf hits it down the middle

Tourament marks 47 years

TRURO - The Apex Invitational Golf Association recently tee'd off at the Truro Golf and Country club for its 47th tournament.

Returning after a year lost to COVID, organizers deemed the two-day fun competition a success.

Winners included: Men’s overall 18 holes – Patrick Jackson, Women’s overall 18 holes - Belinda Bennicke, Men’s 9 holes – Raymond Tynes, and Women’s 9 holes Chanel Smith.

Along with those finding success on the course, there are those finding it in the classroom, and the recipients of the six scholarships provided by the generousity of event sponsors and donors included: Shanice Dewolfe – NSCC, Abiola Oshikoya – St. Mary’s, Diamar Richard – St. F.X., Tori Parker – Dalhousie, Deandre Paris – Dalhousie, and William Henderson – University of Ottawa.
