On July 31 you can “eat your way” down the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark coast in celebration of Food Day Canada.

The “Fundy Food Trail” will spotlight several local eatery businesses offering specials, through an interactive map pointing travellers and locals to food destinations en route.

“We're really trying to pay attention to how much incredible local food there is and local food culture here,” said Geopark administrative assistant Leah Benetti. “We have representation in the east and in the west and everything in between.”

Over 10 vendors and restaurants have signed on so far, and partners continue to join. There is a wide variety of food being offered, including pub food, café-style, Chinese, maple products, ice cream, seafood, produce and much more.

“You can eat your way down the coast,” said Geoscientist Caleb Grant. “A lot of (the vendors) are actually ones you might not have (thought of), it’s not big restaurants. A lot of times it’s like the smaller stuff on the side of the road. I’m superduper excited for it. I’m definitely going to participate”

Food vendors do not need to be part of park’s Geofood initiative to take part.
