This is a blanket term that is sometimes used to refer to all the various types of socially-minded investing.

ESG (ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, GOVERNANCE):

This refers to specific screening criteria employed to determine whether an investment is suitable for a portfolio based on their approach to environmental concerns, social impact, and governance.

SRI (“SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE INVESTING” OR “SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE INVESTING”):

Refers to a strategy that considers ESG factors as well as traditional measures of risk and return. This term is often used interchangeably with ESG.

IMPACT INVESTING:

Impact investing refers to an investment strategy that attempts to invest in a way that creates a positive social or environmental impact.
