Calling all gamers, geeks and cosplayers of all ages – the Y-CON Gaming & Comics Convention is ready to roll again, June 2-4 at the Rodd Grand Hotel and Convention Centre.

Y-CON is an annual volunteer-run gaming and comics convention that features vendors from across the Maritimes, gaming tournaments and free play areas, cosplay, an on-site escape room, discussion panels and much more.

Having made a roaring return in 2022 after two years of cancellations due to the COVID pandemic, this year is going to be even bigger, says Y-CON President Malcolm Seaboyer.

"On behalf of everyone at Y-CON we cannot wait to welcome everyone back this year and see new faces. We have a little something for everyone as an all ages, familyfriendly event,” says Seaboyer.

“There are more vendors, games and things to experience. The growth of the event has been incredible,” Seaboyer says. “Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces, the friendly competition and incredible creativity on display is just amazing."

A raffle auction will also be held onsite with the funds raised going to the Meadowfields School Playground

Project. Non-perishable items for the Yarmouth Food Bank are also being accepted at the door to earn tickets for the auction.

“There are a wide range of ticket options available including single day passes, weekend passes and the VIP weekend pass, which includes a mystery board game and much more in your swag bag,” reads a media release.

With an adult, youth aged 7-12 can enjoy discounted entry while ages 6 and under are free.

People can get their tickets, learn more about the event or register for tournaments online at yarmouthcon.com and also at the door, pending availability.
