ATTWOOD (Maclellan), Cherry Elizabeth

Cherry Elizabeth Attwood (Maclellan) passed peacefully away in Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St. John’s, on May 21, 2023, at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her parents: Hugh and Myrtle Maclellan; husband: Kenneth Maxwell Attwood; sisters: Janet Maclellan, Jean Cross, and Lorna West; brothers: Clyde, Bruce and Roy Maclellan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Wendy Modin, Ken Attwood, Neil Attwood (Patti), Colin Attwood (Heather), and Ian Attwood; sister: Ruth Lawlor; grandchildren: Kyle and Branden Modin; Kirsten and Riley Attwood; Jordan Jarvis; Chad, Gavin, and Alexandria Attwood; Victoria Attwood; great-grandchildren: Nova, Ellie, Levi, Cameron, Brailee, Bryson, Hailey, and Hunter; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, in Newfoundland as well as scattered across Canada and the United States. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (The Kirk), on Friday, June 16th at 11 a.m. A brief visitation will occur in the foyer of the church at 10 a.m. for those who wish to attend. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A reception will be held at 1 p.m. in the Barrett’s Reception Center, 328 Hamilton Ave., all are welcome. Flowers will be gratefully accepted by family or donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (The Kirk) in Cherry’s memory.
