Police investigating after teen assaulted at field party

Police are seeking witnesses and video of an assault at a field party in Torbay that left a 16-year-old boy with injuries on May 30.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the attack occurred during a party near a wooded area off the Torbay Bypass Road around 11:30 p.m.

Police said the teen was injured during the assault and needed medical attention.

The incident was reported to police late the next morning.
