5 March 1923 18 March 2023 Passed peacefully away at The Residence at Littledale in St. John’s on March 18, 2023, aged 100 years, Ann Mcgrath formerly of Freshwater and Argentia. Ann is predeceased by her parents: James and Mary Ellen; by her sisters: Ida O’leary, Clara Roach, Mary Davis, Matilda Howard, Margaret Mcgrath, Catherine Mcgrath, and Cecilia Duke; and her brothers: John, Richard, and James Mcgrath. Left with fond and loving memories are her nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; great-grandnieces and greatgrandnephews as well as other relatives and many friends including her circle of friends in the Freshwater area and the community of staff members, Sisters of Mercy, and other residents at The Residence at Littledale. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater. Interment to follow at Rev. Dermot Mcgettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Ann leaves a legacy of deep faith, wise financial management, and compassionate care for her neighbour.
