François was happiest when he was surrounded by his large crazy family & friends, making and drinking cold Caesar drinks and eating Timbits during his many road trips. He loved spending nights at the trailer and was always planning his and Janet’s next travel adventure where he indulged in his passion for photography. We cannot thank enough the staff on 4NA Oncology and the rest of the Eastern Health staff we have interacted over the last two months. A special thank you to Dr. Lester, Dr. Downton, Dr. Albalawi and the rest of the Oncology team. If it were not for your commitment and dedication, we would not have had these past seven years with François since his diagnosis. Your unwavering determination these past two months allowed us to spend another Christmas with François. Although he was not well enough to get his treatment in QC, he had the opportunity to spend a few days with his family in Montreal. And finally, thank you to Dr. Brake at Palliative Care, the Paramedicine team providing palliative care and the Public Health nurses. It was all of you working together that allowed François to be home, where he got to spend his last two nights surrounded by his wife and children. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, with visitation to take place on Tuesday, February 7th, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, February 8th at 10 a.m. from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel.
