MUN administration, striking faculty to resume negotiations
The Memorial University administration and striking faculty members are returning to the bargaining table.
The MUN Faculty Association (MUNFA) announced the university administration contacted the union’s bargaining team to signal they are willing to continue negotiating.
The two parties will meet today at 9:30 a.m.
“This is a powerful demonstration of the strength of our strike and the solidarity our members have shown since this strike began,” said MUNFA president Ash Hossain. “We will continue this fight until we win, but we know, and we can see here, that we are winning.”
The strike is entering it’s second week after about 800 of the university’s faculty members began picketing on
