PECKFORD, Morris Charley

Age 50, of Kingston NS, died May 5, 2022, as a result of a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident while visiting the Dominican Republic. Morris was born on April 1, 1972, in Gander, NL, and he certainly lived up to being an ‘April Fools’ baby in his younger years. He loved playing practical jokes and being mischievous, all the while with an impish innocent grin. After graduating

high school, he moved from his hometown of Glenwood, NL, to Toronto, ON, where he learned the hardscape trade. After a few years he moved to Kingston, NS, where he joined his brother, Scott, in business and left his mark with his beautiful interlocking work and fences built throughout the Annapolis Valley. Morris had an admirable skill and work ethic. He is survived by his siblings, Scott Peckford

(Gina) of Kingston, NS; Joanne Peckford (Jay Marche) of St. John’s, NL; Gary Peckford of Bridgetown, NS; Gail Peckford-chaisson (George) of Stephenville, NL and Sheri Collette (Jeremy) of Miramichi, NB. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Emily Robinson (Macall), Riley Peckford, Stephen Peckford (Taylor Harrington), Meagan Sampson, Aaron Sampson, Mia Collette; two great-nieces, Rose and Ella and a greatnephew, Luke. Morris also leaves to mourn his passing his dedicated and loving second family, Bill and Louise Shea of Appleton, NL, Tracy Shea-burt (Dean) of Appleton, NL, Douglas Thistle of Cranbrook, BC, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents Joan (Short) and Francis Peckford, and sister Wavey. We would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of kindness, including our many aunts, uncles and cousins during this difficult time. It will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Glenwood, NL.
