BROPHY, Rita (nee Walsh)

Feb. 25, 1932 – May 17, 2022 It is with deep sadness but grateful hearts for her life & her love that the family of Rita Brophy announce her passing at the age of 90 years on May 17, 2022. Rita died peacefully surrounded by her family. Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Edward (Ned); her children, Wayne, Gary, Perry & Paul; her parents, James & Sarah Walsh; sister Beatrice, brothers, Eugene, Nicholas, Patrick & special friend & sister-in-law Marcella Walsh

and other members of the Walsh & Brophy family. Left

to mourn are her children: Janet (Gordon), Eddie

(Anne), Anna (Phil), Desmond (Diane) Left with wonderful memories and stories in their hearts are her precious grandchildren, Valerie (John), Michael (Jenn), John (Danielle), Jennifer (Neil), Joel (Meghan), Melissa (Nick), Paul (Rebecca), Kayla

(Blair), Kyra (Jeremy). Also left to mourn are Nan’s treasured “little ones” her great-grandchildren, Madison, Luke, Nathan, Cory, Alicia, Logan, Ashley, Grace, Sam, Carter, Alex & Liam. Rita leaves behind her brothers, Basil (Lucy), Charles (Phyllis) James, sister Stella (Kevin) and many nieces & nephews. Rita cherished her family & friends. She loved the simple pleasure of cooking a big meal for her family. She loved music & dance &

continued to tap her toes to the sound of music to the end. Rita’s family would Like to express deep gratitude for

the wonderful care she received from the staff at Alderwood Estates & in the last two years the kind & caring staff at Chancellor Park. “Mom, may you Fly with the Angels, May you Dance with the Stars.” (Author unknown) Visitation will be held at Fahey’s Funeral Home in Fermeuse on May 18, 2022 from 2 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be

held at St. Charles Borromeo at 2 p.m. on May 19, 2022.
