Tokugawa’s forces are almost annihilated. 1890: American reporter Nellie Bly of the “New York World” returns home after a 72-day voyage around the globe. Her journey was an attempt to turn Jules Verne’s “Around the World in Eighty Days” from fiction to fact for the first time.
