OHL’S Sudbury Wolves suspend activities after 12 players test positive for COVID
Sudbury, Ont.’s surging COVID-19 numbers struck the local Ontario Hockey League club on Tuesday as the Sudbury Wolves suspended all team activities after 12 players tested positive.
Three upcoming games were also postponed, including a visit to the Soo Greyhounds on Wednesday, a home game against the Barrie Colts on Friday, and a road game against the Colts on Saturday.
“In accordance with established protocols, the OHL today announced that the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club has suspended all team activities as a result of 12 players having tested positive for COVID-19,” the league said in a press release. “All players affected are currently asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms and the league and team will continue to monitor their well-being.”
