Man charged after child sex doll seized by Canada Border Services Agency

A 32-year-old man is facing child pornography charges after a child sex doll was reported heading to a Corner Brook home.

In a Tuesday, Nov. 30, news release, the RCMP said Canada Border Services agents contacted police to inform them that a child sex doll had been intercepted while headed to a Corner Brook home in August 2020.

Police obtained a warrant and searched the home of Rodolfo Henriques in September 2020. Police said evidence found at the home and a subsequent investigation led to two charges of possession of child pornography against Henriques.

Henriques is set to answer the charges on Jan. 12, 2022 in provincial court in Corner Brook.

The RCMP advised the public that child pornography can take on several forms, not just the form of pictures or videos.

Child pornography can also be written, in audio formats or a visual representation such as a child sex doll, police said.
