Red Wings acquire Calder finalist from Carolina
The Detroit Red Wings acquired goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic from the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday and agreed to terms with him on a twoyear contract.
In exchange, the Hurricanes received a thirdround pick (94th overall) in the upcoming 2021 NHL Draft and the rights to veteran goaltender Jonathan Bernier, who is a pending unrestricted free agent.
Nedeljkovic, 25, placed third in the Calder Trophy voting and made the 202021 All-rookie Team after going 15-5-3 with three shutouts, a 1.90 goalsagainst average and a .932 save percentage. Reuters
