No new cases of COVID-19 reported July 23

Newfoundland and Labrador’s COVID-19 situation remained steady once again with another day of no new cases and zero recoveries.

The absence of any new cases in the Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update includes any aboard the Princess Santa Joana, anchored in Conception Bay.

Public Health said there is no risk to the community. The total number of confirmed cases aboard the ship remains at 31 crew members. Testing of all crew is complete, and all crew members are isolating.

There are two people in hospital due to COVID-19. One is a crew member from the Santa Cristina previously anchored off the coast of Bay Bulls, and one is a crew member from the Princess Santa Joana.
