In loving memory of our wonderful and precious Daughter

Who passed away at the Janeway Children's Hospital June 16, 1992 Age 9 years 7 months

We cannot keep from wondering, No matter how we try, And in our sad and lonely hearts, We keep on asking why.

How can we as parents understand, Our daughter has gone away, Gone from this world forever, And not just for a day.

No matter where we're going, No matter what we do, There always comes a moment, When we stop and think of you.

They say memories are golden, And maybe that is true, But we never wanted memories, Janine, We only wanted you.

Janine was a special person, With a dear and thoughtful way, She always seemed to take the time, To brighten someone's day.

Your resting place we visit, And put flowers there with care, But no one knows how much we cry, When we turn and leave you there.

They say there is a reason, They say that time will heal, But neither time nor reason, Will change the way we feel.

Janine, we want to tell you something, So there won't be any doubt, You're so wonderful to think of,

But so hard to be without.

We watched you suffer, We watched you die, But all we could do was just stand by, When the time came we suffered too, For you never deserved what you went through.

God took your hand and we had to part, He eased your pain and broke our hearts.

Gentle Jesus meek and mild, Please take care of our dear child.
