OLIVER, Kevin

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family after a brief illness at St Clare's Hospital on June 10, 2021. Kevin Oliver aged 80 years old of St. John's, NL. Predeceased by his wife Bernice Oliver (nee Dunn) August 2020; his Parents Michael and Stella Oliver (nee Burke); sister Alice Morrissey and brother Gerald Oliver and Parents in law Ann and Patrick Dunn. Leaving to mourn his only child Mike and Wife Tracy (nee O'driscoll); his Grandchildren whom he adored they were his pride and Joy, Kelsey (Steven), Shayne (Rebecca) and Julie (Ethan); brothers Billy (Isabelle), Edward (Anne); sister in law Mary Dunn and Brother in law Jack Dunn; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends to numerous to mention. Kevin worked for Newfoundland Light and Power for 37 years until he retired in 1997, he enjoyed his work and his lifelong friends he met along the way. Kevin was an avid New York Yankees Fan and Detroit Red Wings, he loved to watch and listen to any type of sport, he enjoyed the simple things in life and took so much pride in his family and their accomplishments. His passing has left a void in our lives and hearts he will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing he's at peace now happily reunited in Heaven with Bernice. The family will accept visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel. Those wishing to attend the funeral must register with the family before the funeral, for anyone not able to attend, the Funeral will be live-streamed at https://vimeo.com/561915799 . Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada, NL Division.
