Carbonear takes next step with ATV proposal
Carbonear hasn’t yet given go ahead to the proposed allterrain vehicle route through town, but it has taken the next step towards that.
At a public meeting this week, council voted to review its ATV regulations before sending them off to the provincial government for approval.
While there were some reservations amongst councillors about the pilot project, council deemed this necessary before it signs off on the proposed pilot project.
For the last nine months, Carbonear has been slowly developing a plan that would allow ATV users to access certain streets in the Conception Bay North town.
It would give those users a chance to access a set of designated roads from the former Newfoundland railway trail and vice-versa.
