ATLANTIC BRIEFS DESK sw-briefs@saltwire.com

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. - The Aberdeen Health Foundation is bringing back its annual general meeting in-person, with a dessert social to follow.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Summer Street Industries in New Glasgow.

While the virtual option remains available through the Aberdeen Health Foundation website, this year's AGM marks the first in-person event since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020.

The Aberdeen Health Foundation has been serving the Pictou County community since its inception in 1986.

This year's AGM will pay tribute to the organization's founding director and lifelong member, Jim Gogan.

Jim's vision to establish an endowment fund has created a remarkable legacy for healthcare in Pictou County.

The dedication to Jim Gogan is particularly significant as he served the organization for 35 years, from its inception until his passing in June 2021.

He was the driving force behind the establishment of the endowment fund, which has helped the organization achieve its mission to provide quality healthcare for the residents of Pictou County.

The Aberdeen Health Foundation remains committed to serving the community and is excited to host the upcoming AGM in-person.

Those unable to attend in person can still participate in the virtual event via the Aberdeen Health Foundation website.

More information about the Aberdeen Health Foundation and the AGM is available online at www.aberdeenhealthfoundation.ca.
