Weeks U18 Majors grab top spot

MOUNT WILLIAM – The Weeks U18 Majors lead the Nova Scotia U18 Hockey League thanks to a pair of recent victories.
The local crew moved into first by virtue of a 4-2 home win over the South Shore
Mustangs at the Wellness Centre on Sunday, Nov. 27.
The home team got a pair of goals from Cade Moser with singles from Ben Wallace and Lane Lochead.
Briac Cameron made 21 saves for the win.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, Weeks travelled to Cole Harbour and got 33 saves from Colby Brown as they beat the
Wolfpack team 3-0.
Owen Conrad, Mac Wallace and Ben Wallace provided the Pictou County offence.
Those two wins give the U18 Majors a 16-3-1 record for 33 points, one point ahead of Cole Harbour.
On Friday, Dec. 2 Weeks host Steele Subaru at 7 p.m. at the Wellness Centre.
