IG DONATES TO SCHOOL

Hungry bellies at the GR Saunders Elementary School in Stellarton will be filled, thanks to a $500 donation from Mike MacKean and John McLean of IG Wealth Management. MacKean and McLean made the donation of Sobeys gift cards to school principal Erin Cormier recently. From the left, back row, are: Erin Cormier accepting the gift from IG Wealth Management’s Mike MacKean, Lisa MacDonald, Janice Thompson and John McLean. With the group in front are students Isla Hood, Grade 3, and CJ Quintilla, Grade 2. Cormier was thankful for the donation saying, “As the weather gets colder it’s nice for the students to have warm meals in their bellies.” The elementary school has a school breakfast program in addition to a hot lunch program and also provides baskets of healthy snacks to 330 students.
