New Glasgow mayor’s court case adjourned

New Glasgow Mayor Nancy Dicks’ court case has been adjourned.

Dicks has been charged with assault.

The charge stems from an alleged incident that took place Sept. 27, 2020. She has not yet entered a plea.

During an appearance in Pictour provincial court Tuesday, the Crown asked for an adjournment to further review the file.

The defence counsel on behalf of Dicks agreed with the request.

The case has been postponed until Dec. 13.

This is the second time Dicks’ plea has been adjourned.

Her election and/or plea was first scheduled for Sept. 14.
