It’s time for a talk.

Trinity United Church in New Glasgow is once again hosting a series of inspirational and informative speeches it calls TUC Talks.

TUC stands for Trinity United Church but is also being used as the acronym for Transformative Upbeat Conversations.

This is the fourth year for the speaking series which is styled after the popular TED Talks.

To make the speeches accessible to everyone, they will be offered both in-person and online.

The first TUC Talk is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 28 at

Trinity United Church, 151 Temperance Street, New Glasgow and will feature Pauline MacIntosh, an experienced adult educator and facilitator. MacIntosh is leading the development of StFX University Extension Department’s Community Housing Program —supporting community-based groups, coalitions, and organizations working to ensure adequate, safe, accessible, and affordable housing is available in Nova Scotia for people living on low incomes.

MacIntosh also leads the Build Together: Strengthening the Community Housing Sector in Nova Scotia project and believes that by working together, we can achieve more better and faster for greater collective impact.
