RELAY FOR LIFE

This year’s Relay for Life is a bit unorthodox. Rather than a full in-person event, organizers are planning a small gathering at The Commune which will be broadcast virtually. Provided COVID protocols allow, several bands will perform. Teams can still register at support.cancer.ca. People can also make donations online.

To encourage community involvement, MacLean said they will be selling luminaries June 11, which can be placed publicly near the George Street Bridge in downtown New Glasgow. They’ll also be hanging past Relay for Life Survivor shirts from the bridge to raise awareness of the event.
