Wholesalers and suppliers assure the supply chain to NL is secure Where’s the chicken? Country Ribbons says it’s in hand. While orders have increased, as sales are higher than normal, Country Ribbon said in a statement it is doing everything it can to meet the demand. “We do not foresee any reason why we will not be able to supply the market,” the company stated Thursday evening. “Firstly we would like to state that all of our decisions are guided by the priority of safety of our employees,” the company said. “During this difficult time we are focused on the health and personal needs of our staff. We have strong contingency plans in place to ensure this happens.” Country Ribbon said it is in full operation both in raising and producing chicken products and feed production for supply in Newfoundland and Labrador. “We have been taking very important measures to ensure our major role in food security is maintained.”
