Songwriters’ circle set for CBMF

Concert planned for St. John’s United Church in Mount Stewart on June 4

Phase II & Friends take the stage at St. John's United Church in Mount Stewart for a country music concert on June 4, 7 p.m.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $15 at the door.

St. John's United Church, a lovely, traditional church in rural P.E.I., is the perfect place for a country music concert. Located on Main Street, it is a warm, inviting place with very good acoustics, and Deanna Birt and her committee make everyone feel welcome.

"At a concert in Mount Stewart around Valentine's Day, we had many requests for country songs,” said Gerry Hickey, spokesperson for Phase II & Friends. “We decided that our next show there would be all country music.”

The band, which is made up of John McGarry, Pat King, Keila Glydon, Ed Young, Gerry Hickey, Jeanie Campbell and Blaine Murphy, looks forward to a show featuring artists like Travis Tritt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Dwight Yokum, Dolly Parton and many more.
