SHAW, Nancy Darlene

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Nancy Darlene Shaw, loving and devoted wife of Donald Gregory Shaw, which occurred on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. Born in Charlottetown, PE on September 20, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Beaumount and Emily (Higgins) Newport. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, David Newport; and father-in-law, Don Shaw. In addition to her husband of 38 years, Greg, she was the adoring mother of Mona Shaw (Blake LeBlanc) and Ryan Shaw. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Newport (Nicole Barry); mother-in-law, Elinor Shaw; brother-in-law, Peter Shaw (Brenda); nephew, Matthew Newport; and her feline companion, Charlie. Nancy loved scrapbooking, sitting on her deck enjoying her coffee, and reading a mystery novel, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, June 5 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
