Police answer mental health calls

Charlottetown Police Services responded to 217 total calls about wellbeing or the Mental Health Act.

Thirty-seven calls were for wellbeing checks.

One hundred-eighty calls were for the Mental Health Act, including 50 attempts or threats of suicide.

There have been 708 calls about wellbeing or the Mental Health Act in 2023.
