29TH ANNUAL VINTAGE VEHICLE SHOW SET FOR JUNE 4

TERRENCE MCEACHERN • THE GUARDIAN

Car enthusiasts will be able to catch a glimpse of the past at this year’s Vintage Vehicle Show on June 4, at the Charlottetown Event Grounds on Grafton Street. Two vehicles that will be in the show are Jan Thijsse’s 1955 Chevrolet 210, left, and Wilfred Moase’s 1969 Mercury Cougar RX7 convertible. Thijsse, left, and Moase are both car show committee members of the Prince Edward Island Car Club Inc. The show is co-sponsored by the East Royalty Lions Club. The event, which runs noon to 4 p.m. with registration from 8 a.m. to noon, will have food, entertainment, prizes and other types of vehicles on display, such as antique motorcycles and tractors. Admission is $5 for adults and $12 for families. About 150 to 200 vehicles are expected at this year’s event, which is now in its 29th year.
