ANDERSON, Gloria Jean “Dodie”

It is with heavy hearts the family of Gloria Jean “Dodie” Anderson announces her sudden passing which occurred on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at her home. Born in Charlottetown, PE on March 1, 1944, she was a daughter of the late George and Eileen (Quinn) Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Anderson; nephew, Stephen Anderson; and niece, Amy Maclean. She is survived by her loving daughter, Danielle Peters (Rob); stepson, Aidan Peters; her fur grandbabies, Maddie and Ellie; siblings, Peggy Ruge, George Anderson, Marilyn Anderson, Shirley Maclean and Betty Mackinnon; nieces and nephews whom she loved very much, Bonnie Ann Anderson, Christine Anderson, Robert Anderson, Rachel Hope, Ryan Macdonald, Amber Ruge, Anson Ruge, Wally Anderson and Samantha Hughes; and several greatnieces and nephews. She worked in physical medicine at the old sanitarium then moved to the QEH when it was built. She was devoted to her job and enjoyed working alongside the Doctor of Physical Medicine and coworkers. When she retired, she moved out of the big city of Charlottetown with her daughter and son-in-law to a rural area where she loved the country way of life. She was a devoted mother and mother-in-law. Always putting her family first. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, at 3 p.m., with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time.
